This group photo was taken in Ypres, where we went on a later visit to Belgium (on the way to Scandinavia.)
My diary entries show how thrilled I was with everything, but one thing did strike me in Belgium and that was the "bloody awful" driving... in those days Belgians did not need a drivers' licence (I am sure they do now!) We had a Belgian coach driver and had many hairy moments. I will tell you about the worst of these as we come to them...
