Europe 1964

On each page, you can click on the postcards to read
them, and on my photographs to see a larger image.

Di patting a horse outside the leather factory.

I fell in love with this table -
read all about it in the card below

Some of the magnificent art
we enjoyed.

We were amazed at the size of the bank
notes - Judy and Di hiding behind
10,000 lira each!

From Florence we had a trip to Pisa.
Judy is in the foreground.
Looking back I realise how lucky
we were to see everything we did
before the hordes of tourists you see
everywhere today.
From Pisa we went to Viareggio on the coast. It was lovely to see real sea and real waves... the warning flags were up, but we were told that Italians thought anything over waist-deep was dangerous, so the intrepid band of Australians, South Africans, etc had a lovely swim.
