Many of my friends ask for advice about useful web sites, so in response to that I have compiled a list of what I consider to be the most useful sites on the internet. They are not necessarily my favourite sites - I have listed those elsewhere.

If I were only allowed to access one site, ever again, it would be About.com - this site provides amazing resources for everybody; tutorials, maps, information of all sorts, email newsletters, message boards where you can ask questions, live expert guides to help you.

But we are not restricted to one site! So here goes with my ideas of what is useful. Enjoy yourselves, and let me know if you feel I have left out something vital or included something useless.
